Balochistan TEVTA Delegation Visits PSDF Punjab

A 14-member delegation from the Balochistan Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA), headed by Managing Director Hamood Ur Rehman, visited the Punjab Skill Development Fund (PSDF) to study the province's technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system. The visit was part of an exposure tour to Punjab, aimed at understanding how the province operates its skills sector, including institutional coordination, training quality assurance, industry engagement, and trainee job linkage.

Briefing by Punjab Skills Department

At PSDF, Secretary of the Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department (SD&ED), Nadir Chattha, briefed the delegation on the department's functioning. He explained that the department had taken multiple steps to align the TVET sector with local and international job markets, with a strong emphasis on ensuring trainees secure employment after training.

Task Force Chairman Welcomes Delegation

Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Task Force on Skill Development, Adnan Afzal Chattha, welcomed the visiting team and shared insights on how Punjab's skills bodies collaborate to train young people. He highlighted the integrated approach adopted by various organizations to maximize training outcomes.

PSDF CEO's Presentation

Chief Executive Officer of PSDF, Ahmed Khan, also briefed the guests on the Fund's role in providing skills training across Punjab. He detailed the PSDF's initiatives in reaching diverse populations and ensuring quality training delivery.

Scheduled Institutional Visits

During their stay, the delegation was scheduled to visit several leading training institutions in Punjab, meet heads of the province's main skills organizations, and observe training sessions for different groups, including IT professionals and trainees from various backgrounds. These visits aimed to provide hands-on exposure to Punjab's TVET practices.

Cooperation Between Provinces

Officials noted that the exposure visit reflects a healthy spirit of learning and cooperation between Balochistan and Punjab. The initiative is intended to strengthen the skills sector and create better job opportunities for young people across Pakistan.
