FAISALABAD: In a decisive move to dismantle cheating networks and uphold the integrity of the examination system, Education Board Faisalabad Secretary Dr. Saleem Taqi Shah conducted surprise inspections at several examination centers across the division. The raids were part of an intensified crackdown against malpractices and irregularities reported during ongoing examinations.
Negligence and Unfair Means Exposed
During the inspections, supervisory staff at multiple centers were found allegedly involved in negligence and facilitating unfair means. The Secretary Board ordered the immediate suspension of the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and four supervisory staff members of Center 262, along with the Deputy Superintendent of Center 269 Abbaspur. Recommendations have been forwarded to the competent authority for strict departmental action under the PEEDA Act against the suspended officials.
Board Spokesperson Confirms Complaints
According to the Board spokesperson, the action was taken following complaints of irregularities and assistance in cheating during examinations. The surprise visits were aimed at verifying the implementation of examination rules and ensuring a transparent process.
Zero-Tolerance Policy Against Cheating
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saleem Taqi Shah stated that a comprehensive strategy has been adopted to eliminate the “booty mafia” and ensure a fair and transparent examination process across the division. He claimed that due to strict monitoring and enforcement measures, cheating networks are no longer visible inside or outside examination centers.
“Under the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, a zero-tolerance policy against cheating is being strictly implemented,” he said, adding that examination centers are not solely dependent on supervisory staff, as CCTV surveillance and monitoring teams are actively overseeing the process. He further stated that whenever even minor complaints are reported, monitoring teams are immediately dispatched to take corrective action on the spot.
Future of Students Paramount
“The future of students is more precious than our lives,” Dr. Shah emphasized, stressing that no compromise would be made on merit or fairness in examinations. He directed examination staff to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and vigilance, and instructed them to immediately report any attempts of pressure or interference to the control room so swift action could be taken against offenders.
Intensified Monitoring Across Centers
The board has intensified monitoring across all examination centers to ensure strict compliance with examination rules and to discourage any attempt at malpractice. With enhanced surveillance and surprise inspections, the board aims to restore confidence in the examination system and protect the interests of hardworking students.
