The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially commenced online registration for the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for the year 2026. Candidates seeking admission to medical and dental colleges across the country can now register through the official PMDC portal.
Registration Deadlines and Fees
According to PMDC officials, registration with a single fee will remain open until July 8, 2026. Applicants who miss this deadline can still register with a late fee from July 9 to July 13, 2026. The council has urged candidates to complete their registration early to avoid any last-minute issues.
Exam Date and Structure
The MDCAT 2026 examination is scheduled to be held nationwide on August 16, 2026. The test will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in total. The subject-wise distribution includes 81 MCQs from Biology, 45 MCQs from Chemistry, and 36 MCQs from Physics. Additionally, there will be 9 MCQs covering English and Logical Reasoning.
Official Statement
“The MDCAT is a crucial step for aspiring medical and dental students, and we ensure a transparent and efficient registration process,” a PMDC spokesperson stated. The council has also made arrangements for candidates from remote areas to access the registration portal.
