KARACHI - Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi chaired an important meeting at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat on Thursday. The heads of various centers and institutes attended the meeting.
The participants expressed their gratitude to the Government of Sindh for allocating grants for the first time to certain centers and institutes of the university, as well as for increasing the existing grants of others. They noted that this financial support clearly demonstrates that research, teaching, and academic development remain key priorities for the Sindh government.
On this occasion, all heads paid tribute to the KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi for his continuous efforts, personal commitment, and deep understanding of the challenges faced by the university’s centers and institutes. They emphasized that the success in securing and enhancing these grants is the result of the vice chancellor’s effective advocacy, vision, and practical measures, which will further strengthen the capacity of the University of Karachi’s teaching and research institutions.
The meeting also discussed future plans for utilizing the grants to improve infrastructure, support research projects, and enhance academic programs. The heads expressed optimism that the increased financial support will enable them to achieve their goals more effectively and contribute to the overall development of the university.
Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi thanked the participants for their appreciation and reaffirmed his commitment to working collaboratively with all centers and institutes to ensure the optimal use of resources. He emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the utilization of funds, and urged the heads to focus on delivering high-quality education and research outcomes.
