Pakistani actors Tauseeq Haider and Farah Saadia have publicly dismissed false rumors about their secret marriage, which were fueled by an AI-generated image circulating on social media. In a collaborative Instagram video, the duo humorously addressed the fabricated story while also warning about the serious consequences of AI-driven misinformation.
Humorous Denial Goes Viral
In the video, Haider initially joked, “So we are happily married,” before congratulating Saadia. He continued in a playful tone, “We both wanted to break the news to you, but there are so many amazing YouTubers who are so professional that they made it go viral before we could. I also just found out that we got married.” Saadia joined the banter, complimenting the AI-generated wedding image: “They used such good AI. Tauseeq, you are looking so good in it.” Haider agreed, adding that fans deserved credit for creating an “attractive bride and groom.”
Call for Revenue Sharing
The pair also joked about the financial gains from the fake story. “If you’ve already earned Rs200,000 from this fake news, please give us at least Rs50,000 each,” Haider said, suggesting a business deal: “Tell us this is the business plan behind your fake wedding and how much money we can make too.”
Serious Consequences of Misinformation
Shifting to a more serious tone, Saadia highlighted the real-life impact of spreading fabricated stories. “You guys are making money and ruining our image. We have our own families, kids and relatives. This is not the way. Jokes apart, these things can be a disaster for families,” she said. Haider added, “Come on, guys, please have some respect. Have a life and do something meaningful to make money.”
Clarifying Friendship
The actors concluded by reiterating that they are simply good friends. “We will always just be friends, and we’ve learned that the wedding stuff is your line of work,” Saadia said. Their light-hearted yet measured response earned praise from social media users, who described them as “cool” and “sophisticated.”
