RAWALPINDI: The main accused in the TikToker Sana Yousuf murder case, Umar Hayat, has retracted his confessional statement made before a magistrate, claiming he does not even understand what a confessional statement is. During the hearing in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka, Hayat alleged that the police had falsely implicated him under pressure from Sana Yousuf's TikTok followers.
Accused Denies Involvement
Hayat stated that the police had produced no concrete evidence against him, relying instead on fabricated documents, false cases, and coerced testimonies. He claimed that he was forcibly taken to the police station and tortured into signing a blank seven-page document. He also asserted that he had never visited Sector G13 on the day Sana Yousuf was allegedly murdered.
Legal Proceedings Continue
The court is now tasked with evaluating the credibility of Hayat's claims against the earlier confessional statement. The prosecution is expected to present further evidence in the coming hearings. The case has drawn significant public attention due to Sana Yousuf's popularity on TikTok and the brutal nature of the crime.
