Four Dead, 16 Injured in Bannu Weather Incidents

At least four people lost their lives, and 16 others sustained injuries in weather-related incidents caused by strong winds and heavy rainfall in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PDMA Report Details

According to an initial report issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), powerful winds and heavy rain triggered several incidents of collapsing walls, houses, and shops in different parts of the district.

Casualties and Injuries

The deceased included two men and two children. Among the injured were four men, five women, and seven children. The PDMA said the severe weather caused damage at multiple locations, resulting in casualties and injuries among local residents.

Safety Guidelines Issued

The authority has urged citizens to exercise caution during adverse weather conditions, stay away from weak and unsafe structures, and follow safety guidelines to avoid accidents. Residents have also been advised to immediately contact local authorities in case of any emergency and report incidents through the PDMA helpline 1700.

Emergency services have been mobilized to assist affected families, and rescue operations are ongoing in the worst-hit areas. The PDMA has assured that all necessary measures are being taken to provide relief to the victims.
