Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, arrived in Cairo on Saturday to participate in the 4th meeting of the R-4 Group of Foreign Ministers, scheduled for June 21. The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to promote peace, stability, and regional cooperation in the Middle East.
R-4 Mechanism and Participants
The R-4 mechanism brings together Pakistan, host Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye. It has emerged as an important diplomatic platform for consultation on regional security, conflict resolution, and economic cooperation. At the Cairo meeting, Pakistan is represented by Ishaq Dar, while the host country is represented by Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty. Türkiye is expected to be represented by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Saudi Arabia's delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

According to diplomatic sources, the ministers will review recent regional developments, including progress in diplomatic initiatives aimed at strengthening regional stability. Upon arrival in Cairo, the Deputy Prime Minister was received by Nazih El Naggary and Pakistan's Ambassador to Egypt, Aamir Shouket.
