The Confucius Institute at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), in collaboration with China Media Group (CMG) and the China Cultural Center in Pakistan (CCCP), organized a knowledge-based quiz program to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan.
Chief Guest Highlights China's Development Opportunities
Cultural Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, Chen Peng, attended as the chief guest. He stated that China's development is creating new opportunities for prosperity and growth not only for the Chinese people but also for countries across the region and the world. He stressed the importance of strengthening people-to-people ties and cooperation between China and Pakistan.
NUML Director General Emphasizes Cultural Exchanges
NUML Director General Brigadier Muhammad Rafiq Khan remarked that educational and cultural exchanges between China and Pakistan are bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together and playing a significant role in enhancing bilateral relations.
Enduring Friendship Highlighted
Wang Lei, representative of CGTN Urdu and China Media Group Pakistan, highlighted the enduring friendship between the two nations, describing it as a shining example of mutual trust, brotherhood, and shared development that continues to grow stronger over time.
Faculty Dean Expresses Confidence in Future Ties
Dean of the Faculty of Languages at NUML, Dr. Jamil Asghar Jami, noted that the friendship between China and Pakistan has successfully withstood every challenge and expressed confidence that bilateral ties will continue to expand in the future.
Quiz Competition and Cultural Performances
During the quiz competition, students answered questions related to the history, culture, and bilateral relations of China and Pakistan, showcasing their knowledge and skills. Their performances were widely appreciated by the audience. Students from the Confucius Institute also presented colorful cultural performances reflecting the shared cultural heritage, mutual respect, and longstanding friendship between the two countries.
Prize Distribution Ceremony
At the conclusion of the event, Cultural Counsellor Chen Peng and NUML Director General Brigadier Muhammad Rafiq Khan distributed prizes among students who demonstrated outstanding performance. A large number of students participated in the competition and showed keen interest in learning more about the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
