Passenger Offloaded for Using Umrah Visa as Transit to Cambodia

Immigration authorities at Islamabad International Airport offloaded a passenger who allegedly attempted to use a Saudi Arabia-bound Umrah visa as a transit route to Cambodia. The passenger was transferred to the Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation.

Incident Details

The passenger was travelling with his mother to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa aboard Flight ED-272. During secondary immigration profiling, officials discovered that he had previously been offloaded on April 14, 2026, while attempting to travel to Cambodia. A forensic examination of his mobile phone reportedly found evidence that he had been in contact with an agent regarding travel to Cambodia.

Evidence and Plan

Recovered voice notes and chat records indicated that the passenger had planned to remain in Saudi Arabia after his mother's return and then travel onward to Cambodia using the Umrah visa as a transit route. The FIA has taken him into custody for questioning.
