Saudi Envoy Dar Discuss Islamabad MoU Regional Peace

Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Wednesday. The meeting focused on the latest regional developments following the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with both sides emphasizing the need to advance collective efforts that facilitate dialogue and diplomacy.

Commitment to Regional Peace

The Saudi envoy conveyed appreciation for Pakistan’s continued efforts for regional peace and security, including through the R-4 mechanism and Pakistan’s leading role in mediating the Islamabad MoU. The two officials reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations in all areas of mutual interest.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Discussions also covered ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, building on the historic and fraternal ties between the two countries. The meeting underscored the shared vision for stability and prosperity in the region, with both sides agreeing to maintain close consultations on regional and international issues.
