Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, to discuss regional developments, peace initiatives, and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting stability in the Gulf region.
Exchange of Greetings and Goodwill
During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed his best wishes to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the people of Qatar. The Qatari premier reciprocated the sentiments, reaffirming the strong and friendly relations between the two countries.
Appreciation for Qatar’s Support
The Pakistani prime minister expressed appreciation for Qatar’s support of Islamabad’s diplomatic initiatives focused on fostering dialogue and peace amid regional tensions. He noted that progress had been made in ongoing discussions and expressed optimism that a peace agreement among the concerned parties could be finalized in the near future.
Qatar Commends Pakistan’s Role
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani commended Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic engagement and acknowledged the role played by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir in supporting efforts to advance dialogue and maintain momentum toward a peaceful resolution.
Commitment to Continued Cooperation
The Qatari leader reaffirmed Doha’s support for Pakistan’s peace initiatives and voiced confidence that continued diplomatic engagement would contribute to long-term regional stability and cooperation. Prime Minister Shehbaz also renewed his invitation to the Emir of Qatar to undertake an official visit to Pakistan, reiterating Islamabad’s desire to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in various sectors.
