Election Symbols Allotted to 24 Political Parties in AJK
The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has officially assigned election symbols to 24 registered political parties in preparation for the upcoming general elections in the state. This development was confirmed by sources within the commission on Friday.
Among the major parties, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has been allocated the "Arrow" as its election symbol. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will contest the elections under the "Lion" symbol. Jamaat-e-Islami has received the "Scales," while the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference has been assigned the "Horse."
Completion of Symbol Allocation Process
According to the Election Commission, the allocation of election symbols has been finalized as part of the broader preparations for the general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The process ensures that each political party has a distinct symbol for voters to identify on the ballot paper.
This announcement comes as political parties gear up for the electoral contest, with symbol allocation being a critical step in the election process.
