Hyderabad Police Arrest 93 Suspects in Week-Long Crackdown

Hyderabad police apprehended 93 suspects and confiscated a substantial cache of drugs, liquor, and gutka during targeted operations conducted between June 15 and June 21. The crackdown was executed under the directives of SSP Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar, focusing on criminals, drug dealers, gutka and mawa suppliers, proclaimed offenders, absconders, and other law violators.

Breakdown of Arrests

The arrested individuals included 7 suspects involved in street crime, 32 in drug peddling, 4 in theft cases, 1 motorcycle lifter, 22 in gutka-mawa sales, 15 in gambling, and 3 in other crimes. Additionally, police arrested two proclaimed offenders and seven absconders.

Seized Items

Recovered items comprised 4 pistols with 21 bullets, 1,995 mawa pouches, 13,015 gutka sachets and 1 carton of raw mawa material, 263 bottles of liquor, 48 litres of illicit liquor, 1.096 kg of bhang, and 10.214 kg of charas.
