Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah stated on Wednesday that 2,056 development projects would be finalized across the province in the upcoming fiscal year, highlighting that the provincial budget prioritizes public relief. Speaking at a post-budget press conference in Karachi, the chief minister revealed that the Sindh government has set aside Rs109 billion for public-private partnership initiatives to expedite development and enhance public services.
Salary and Pension Increases
As part of the budget measures, a seven percent increment has been approved for the salaries and pensions of government employees, Murad Ali Shah confirmed.
Healthcare and Institutional Grants
Furthermore, the chief minister announced that grants totaling Rs686 billion would be allocated to various hospitals and institutions throughout the province to bolster healthcare and other public sector services.
