Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, held a series of meetings on Monday with party leaders to assess political, organizational, and development matters. During a meeting at Bilawal House, Waqar Mehdi briefed the PPP chief on the party’s organizational and political situation in Sindh, including preparations for the upcoming cantonment board elections. Legislative affairs in the Senate were also reviewed, with Bilawal directing stricter enforcement of party discipline in the province.

In a separate session, Sindh Assembly member Muhammad Asif Khan and Maripur Town Chairman Humayun Khan updated him on development initiatives in their constituency. They highlighted priority water supply schemes under the annual development program, along with the construction of four community halls in PS-11 and an indoor sports complex. Officials also noted strong public interest in the Kemari Food Street project and confirmed the completion of Queens Family Park in Sultanabad by Maripur Town authorities.

Meanwhile, Arslan Sheikh, Mayor of Sukkur, briefed Bilawal on governance and civic improvements. He shared that the Sindh Chief Minister’s Public Complaint Cell is actively addressing hundreds of citizen complaints, while the Sukkur Municipal Corporation has been fully digitized. He further revealed that a clean drinking water project completed under a public-private partnership will benefit around 650,000 residents across 100,000 households.
