Later on Saturday, an Israeli airstrike hit the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing three people, including a local photographer, according to medics. The photographer's identity was not immediately disclosed. The strike also wounded several others.

The latest deaths bring the total number of Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes since the conflict escalated to over 40,000, according to Gaza health authorities.
