Pakistan Calls for Ceasefire Compliance

Pakistan has urged all parties involved in the Middle East conflict to fully observe the US-Iran ceasefire agreement, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for maintaining regional peace. The call was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during a telephone conversation with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, the Foreign Office said on Sunday.

Diplomatic Engagement with EU

During the discussion, the two leaders reviewed the evolving security situation in the Middle East and exchanged views on diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing further escalation. According to the Foreign Office, Kallas appreciated Pakistan's diplomatic engagement and its efforts that led to the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. She also voiced concern over recent ceasefire violations and stressed the need to keep communication channels open among all parties.

Pakistan's Commitment to Regional Stability

Dar reiterated Pakistan's commitment to promoting lasting peace and stability in the region, urging all sides to honour the ceasefire agreement and refrain from actions that could further undermine regional security. He emphasized that dialogue remains the only viable path to resolving differences and preventing further conflict.
