Climate Change as a Global Threat

She noted that Pakistan, despite contributing minimally to global emissions, is among the countries most vulnerable to climate-induced disasters such as floods, heatwaves, and droughts.

Maryam Nawaz stressed that government efforts alone are insufficient without active public participation. She also called for enhanced international cooperation to provide developing countries with the necessary financial and technical support to tackle climate change. Pakistan, she said, is ready to play its part in global climate efforts but needs equitable access to climate finance and technology.
