Faisalabad Flag March for Muharram Security

A grand flag march was conducted in Faisalabad to maintain law and order, protect citizens' lives and property, and discourage anti-social elements during Muharram-ul-Haram. The march was led by Commissioner Faisalabad Musarrat Jabeen and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhaira.

Participants and Route

Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir, City Police Officer Tanveer Hussain, SSP Operations Imran Malik, Chief Traffic Officer Nasir Javed Rana, Elite Force, Dolphin Force, Pakistan Army, and Rangers contingents also participated. The march passed through important city roads and concluded at Police Lines Faisalabad.

Statements on Security

Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen stated that all departments are working actively with close coordination to maintain peace and security. RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhaira said that maintaining law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram is the top priority of police, adding that all law enforcement agencies are fully alert for the protection of citizens.

Peace Seminar

RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhaira also participated in the “Paigham-e-Pakistan and Paigham-e-Aman” seminar at Jamia Qadria Rizvia, Mustafaabad, Sargodha Road Faisalabad, chaired by renowned religious scholar and member of the Council of Islamic Ideology Pakistan, Sahibzada Hafiz Muhammad Amjad. The seminar was attended by former parliamentarians Haji Akram Ansari and Sheikh Ejaz, Maulana Riaz Kharl, Allama Tahir-ul-Hassan, Mufti Habib Ullah, Syed Hasnain Shirazi, religious scholars from different schools of thought, and other notable personalities.

Emphasis on Peace and Tolerance

Addressing the seminar, Sahibzada Hafiz Muhammad Amjad, Maulana Riaz Kharl, and Allama Tahir-ul-Hassan emphasized the importance of peace, religious tolerance, and interfaith harmony, stating that religious scholars stand alongside security institutions for maintaining peace. RPO said that peace, tolerance, and brotherhood are the true essence of Paigham-e-Pakistan. He added that a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against sectarianism, provocation, and hate-based activities. The participants agreed to adopt a joint strategy for promoting peace, religious harmony, and maintaining law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram.
