Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Finance, Muzzammil Aslam, has reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to safeguarding the legitimate rights and welfare of all government employees. He stated that employees will continue to receive their due benefits and incentives in accordance with the government’s available financial resources and capacity.
Thanksgiving Ceremony for House Requisition Allowance
Addressing a thanksgiving ceremony organized by the All Secretariat Coordination Council following the approval of the House Requisition Allowance for Secretariat employees, the Finance Adviser said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government remains committed to improving the working conditions and welfare of its employees despite operating under limited financial resources.
Long-Standing Demand Fulfilled
Muzzammil Aslam noted that the House Requisition Allowance had been a genuine and long-standing demand of secretariat employees. He highlighted that employees serving in the secretariats of other provinces had been receiving the allowance for many years. After carefully assessing the province’s financial position, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government approved the allowance in recognition of this legitimate demand. He emphasized that the provincial government highly values the contributions of its workforce and will continue to address the genuine concerns and welfare needs of government employees within its financial means.
Call for Dedicated Public Service
The Finance Adviser also reminded government employees that they are public servants entrusted with serving the more than 45 million people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He urged them to discharge their duties with honesty, integrity, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility. He added that sincere public service not only brings blessings in one’s personal and financial life but is also regarded as an act of worship.
Employee Leaders Express Gratitude
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of various employee organizations expressed their gratitude to the provincial government for approving the House Requisition Allowance. Among those present were Zafar Khan, Chairman of the Secretariat Coordination Council; Muhammad Asad of the Computer Operators Association; Sher Zaman, Vice Chairman of the Coordination Council; Altaf Hussain, President of the Class-IV Employees Association; Tariq Hassan; and several other employee leaders. The participants thanked Finance Adviser Muzzammil Aslam for addressing their long-pending demand and welcomed the government’s decision, describing it as a significant step towards the welfare and recognition of Secretariat employees.
