The Chairman of the Social Media Protection and Regulatory Authority (SMPRA), Ayaz Shaukat, met with Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi at the Governor House on Tuesday. The meeting was also attended by SMPRA member Sohail Iqbal Soor and other officials.

Key Discussion Points on Digital Governance

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters related to digital governance, responsible use of social media, and public awareness campaigns. They emphasized the positive use of social media platforms, the promotion of the national narrative, and the implementation of effective regulatory measures to ensure a safe online environment.

Governor's Remarks on Youth and Digital Safety

Governor Hashmi stated that policy-making aligned with modern requirements is an essential need of the time. He stressed that providing a safe, positive, and constructive digital environment for the youth is a shared responsibility of all stakeholders.
