District Police Officer (DPO) Bahawalnagar Muhammad Imran presided over a high-level crime meeting on Thursday, attended by all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) from across the district. The meeting, as per a police spokesman, was convened to review the prevailing law and order situation and to fortify strategies aimed at eliminating criminal activities.

Key Directives Issued

DPO Muhammad Imran issued explicit orders to intensify the crackdown against serious crimes, including robbery, theft, and drug trafficking. He stressed the need to accelerate the campaign to arrest proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals. The DPO made it clear that negligence in duties would not be tolerated under any circumstances, while officers demonstrating exceptional performance would be encouraged and recognized.

Focus on Public Service and Patrolling

All SHOs were directed to prioritize resolving the problems of citizens visiting police stations. The meeting also emphasized enhancing police patrolling in public places and sensitive areas to ensure greater public safety and deter criminal elements.
