ECP Starts 12-Week Training for 42 New Officers

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has launched a 12-week service training programme for 42 newly-appointed officers, including 39 Assistant Election Commissioners, one Assistant Director (Gender), and two Research Associate Officers (BS-17). The training commenced on June 15, at the Election Commission Academy and was formally inaugurated by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja. Members of the Election Commission and senior officials also attended the inaugural ceremony.

Chief Election Commissioner Addresses Participants

Addressing the participants, the Chief Election Commissioner congratulated the newly-appointed officers and welcomed them to the ECP. He said their selection was made purely on merit, which should be a source of pride and motivation. He emphasized the importance of integrity and professionalism in conducting free and fair elections.

Training Programme Details

The 12-week programme covers various aspects of electoral processes, including voter registration, election management, and use of technology. The training aims to equip officers with necessary skills to perform their duties effectively. The ECP is committed to enhancing the capacity of its staff to ensure transparent elections.
