South Zone Police have finalized comprehensive security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram across Karachi, deploying hundreds of personnel and 34 female searchers at major religious congregations to ensure a peaceful environment for mourners.
Deployment at Key Imam Bargahs
According to a South Zone Police spokesperson on Tuesday, 56 police personnel, four police mobiles and four motorcycles have been deployed at Imam Bargah Baqiyatullah. At Imam Bargah Yasrab, 51 personnel, three mobiles and four motorcycles are assigned. Bada Imam Bargah Kharadar hosts 28 personnel, while Chhota Imam Bargah Kharadar has 14 personnel, one mobile and two motorcycles. Taheri Masjid in Saddar has 17 personnel, two mobiles and two motorcycles.
Enhanced Surveillance Measures
Surveillance of sensitive locations, snap checking and patrolling have been further intensified across the district. The spokesperson confirmed that 34 female searchers have been deployed at major congregations to assist with security checks, ensuring the safety of all participants.
