Saudi FM Meets Mauritanian Counterpart at Arab League

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, on the sidelines of the resumed 165th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level in Amman. The two ministers reviewed bilateral relations between their countries and discussed several issues of mutual concern, according to a statement by Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry on X.

Diplomatic Engagement on Arab League Sidelines

The meeting took place as part of the ongoing Arab League Council session, which brings together foreign ministers from member states to address regional and international issues. Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Merzoug emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in various fields.

Bilateral Relations and Mutual Concerns

During the discussions, the two officials reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance them. They also exchanged views on regional developments and issues of common interest, reflecting the close ties between the two nations. Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Jordan, Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan, also attended the meeting.
