District Shaheed Benazirabad Police arrested a highly wanted proclaimed offender during a crackdown against criminal elements on the directives of SSP Sameer Noor Channa. According to a police spokesperson, the Khadher police station team carried out an intelligence-based operation under the supervision of the station house officer and apprehended a suspect, identified as Muhammad Sharif, son of Singar Bhanjo. A stolen motorcycle was also recovered from his possession at the time of arrest.
Long-Hunted Murder Suspect Apprehended
The spokesperson said that the accused was wanted for a long time in a murder case and was also involved in several other criminal cases registered at different police stations. He had previously been declared a proclaimed offender by the court, and police had been conducting raids to secure his arrest.
SSP Commends Police Team
SSP Sameer Noor Channa commended the Khadher police team for their professionalism and bravery, stating that individuals involved in murder and other serious crimes remain under strict surveillance. He emphasised that no one is above the law and that all proclaimed offenders would be brought to justice. Further investigation is underway, and legal proceedings regarding the recovered motorcycle are being completed, police added.
