Two police officers embraced martyrdom after unidentified gunmen opened fire on them at a security checkpoint on Saturday in Gharo, Sindh. According to police sources, armed attackers riding a motorcycle targeted two policemen deployed at a security barrier on Brosser Colony Road.

Attack Details and Immediate Response

Both officers were martyred on the spot in the attack. The assailants managed to flee immediately after the shooting. Following the incident, a heavy police contingent rushed to the area and launched an investigation. Eyewitnesses said the firing occurred when police attempted to stop the suspects for checking. In response, the attackers opened direct fire on the officers.

Witnesses further claimed that after killing the policemen, the suspects took away their official weapons before escaping. The bodies of the martyred officers were shifted to the Rural Health Centre in Gharo for necessary procedures.
