Attock Police Arrest 20+ Criminals in Major Crackdown

In a sweeping operation across the district, Attock Police have arrested more than 20 anti-social elements, including four men accused of rape and child molestation, as part of an intensified crackdown on crime. Cases under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, Anti-Narcotics Act, and Arms Ordinance have been registered against all accused, and every accused has been sent behind bars.

Details of the Operation

According to police details, the district-wide operation targeted individuals involved in heinous crimes, gambling, drug trafficking, robbery, and those evading the law. Officials stated that the coordinated raids were conducted on direct orders from DPO Attock Sardar Mavarhan Khan to restore public confidence and ensure the safety of citizens.

Arrests in Rape and Molestation Cases

In the first major incident, Injra Police arrested Ajmaeen Khan, resident of Kotwali, for allegedly raping a married woman, filming her in an objectionable condition, and making the video viral. The arrest followed immediate action after the victim’s family reported the crime. Attock City Police arrested Safiullah and Tauqeer Ahmad for allegedly raping a widow. Both suspects were taken into custody during a targeted raid and are being interrogated further to determine if they were involved in other similar incidents. In another disturbing case, Hasanabdal Saddar Police arrested Manzoor Elahi for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old boy.

Crackdown on Gambling

Pindigheb Police arrested seven gamblers and recovered cash and other valuables worth Rs 922,000 from the scene. The arrested individuals were identified as Javed Iqbal, Muhammad Ayub, Sher Khan, Mudassar Ali, Tauqeer Abbas, Safarash Khan, and Osama Abbas. Police stated that gambling dens cause financial ruin for families and will not be tolerated.

Recovery of Stolen Items

Jand Police arrested Qamar Younas for allegedly snatching a Shehzore van and two mobile phones at gunpoint from Talat Mehmood. The stolen vehicle and mobiles were recovered from the suspect’s possession.

Drug Peddlers and Illegal Weapons

In separate operations across different areas, police arrested drug peddlers and recovered 7 kg of hashish, 13 liters of liquor, and three illegal pistols from their possession. The arrested peddlers include Nasir Ali, Babar Shahzad, Sharafat, Muhammad Sohail, Sajid, Afzaal, Umar Khatab, Muhammad Munir, Naqash, Arsalan, Shakir, Adil, and Noor Hussain.

Proclaimed Offenders Arrested

In another successful attempt, police arrested three proclaimed offenders who were wanted in multiple pending cases. The suspects were identified as Ghazanfar Ali, Muhammad Ali, and Naseer Ahmad. Their arrest removes long-pending cases from police records and brings relief to complainants awaiting justice.

DPO Attock Sardar Mavarhan Khan reiterated that Attock Police maintains a policy of zero tolerance toward crimes against women, children, and vulnerable citizens.
