A lady junior clerk and 14 transgender individuals arrested in connection with a disturbance at the SSP office in Hyderabad were released from the Hyderabad Women's Jail on Monday, following a court's approval of their bail applications.
Court Hearing and Bail Approval
Judge Sajjad Ahmed presided over the hearing of two bail petitions filed in a case registered at the Cantt Police Station. The charges included obstructing a public servant, presence of an abettor at the time of the offense, unlawful assembly, criminal conspiracy, mischief, and intentional insult related to the SSP office incident.
The lady junior clerk, Maria Sario, submitted a separate bail application, while the 14 arrested transgender persons filed a joint petition. The transgender individuals were identified as Pinky, Aliza, Zohaib, Ali Ghulam, Aman Baloch, Sonam Durrani, Zara Abbasi, Haya Malik, Maham Malik, Muskan Baloch, Pari Jat, Saima Memon, Kajal, and Musaddiq Qambarani.
Arguments and Decision
After hearing arguments from both the prosecutor and defense lawyers, the court approved bail for the lady clerk and all 14 transgender persons against surety bonds of Rs10,000 each. Upon submission and verification of the surety bonds, the court issued a release order to the Superintendent of Hyderabad Women's Jail, directing that the accused be freed if they were not wanted in any other case.
Following the order, all female suspects were released from Hyderabad Women's Jail.
