The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast hot and dry weather across Sindh province for the next 48 hours. Daytime temperatures are expected to soar, particularly in central and southern districts, with mercury likely to touch 45 degrees Celsius in some areas.
Temperature Details
According to the Met Office, cities including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana will experience intense heat with maximum temperatures ranging between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius. The coastal areas may see slightly lower temperatures due to sea breezes, but humidity levels will remain high.
Advisory for Residents
Authorities have advised residents to take precautionary measures to avoid heat-related illnesses. Citizens are urged to stay indoors during peak hours, wear light-colored clothing, and drink plenty of water. Farmers have been warned to protect livestock and crops from extreme heat.
The Met Office further stated that no significant change in weather pattern is expected until the weekend. However, there is a possibility of light dust-raising winds in some parts of upper Sindh.
Meanwhile, the provincial disaster management authority has been put on alert to respond to any heatwave-related emergencies. This forecast comes as several parts of the country continue to grapple with rising temperatures.
