Two Martyred in Landi Kotal Shooting, Including Army Soldier
Two individuals were martyred in a shooting incident involving unidentified assailants in the Sultan Khel Kunj Ground area of Landi Kotal. Police and hospital sources identified the deceased as Shah Fahad, a Pakistan Army soldier on leave from Quetta, and Mehboob-ur-Rehman, a truck driver. The attack was carried out by unknown gunmen, and the motive remains unknown. Both sustained fatal injuries and were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Landi Kotal for legal-medico formalities.
Immediately after the incident, security personnel and police launched a search operation in the area to trace those responsible for the killings. After the completion of necessary procedures at DHQ Hospital, the bodies were transported to their native village in Sultan Khel. On Saturday morning, they were buried in their ancestral graveyard after funeral prayers, locals said.
Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances of the attack. Efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrators, police added. Meanwhile, tribesmen blocked the Pak-Afghan highway at Takya point for all kinds of traffic movement in protest against the killing of innocent people.
In a separate incident, an Israeli strike martyred seven people in Gaza City, including two women.
