Security forces killed six militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan's Panjgur district, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The military's media wing stated that the operation was conducted on the night of June 3 and 4 following intelligence reports about the presence of militants linked to the Indian proxy group "Fitna al Hindustan" in the area.
Operation Details
During the operation, security personnel effectively targeted multiple militant hideouts. After an intense exchange of fire, six militants were neutralized. The ISPR reported that security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and a vehicle from the slain militants. According to the statement, these individuals were allegedly involved in several terrorist activities in the region.
Ongoing Clearance Operations
The military's media wing confirmed that clearance and search operations are continuing in the area to ensure no other militants remain hidden. The ISPR emphasized that the relentless counterterrorism campaign under the vision of "Azm e Istehkam," as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to eliminate the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
Security forces, along with law enforcement agencies, remain committed to conducting counterterrorism operations across Pakistan to maintain peace and stability.
