MARDAN - Residents of Rustam on Saturday alleged that two brothers had gone missing after being taken into custody by police personnel, and appealed to senior authorities for their safe recovery.

Press Conference at Mardan Press Club

Speaking at a press conference at Mardan Press Club, Sharif Khan, Saeed Hanan, and Abdul Awal claimed that their brothers, Zahoor Hussain and Rehman Saeed, were detained near Malakand Chowk and had not been seen since. The speakers alleged that the two men had traveled to the area in connection with the purchase of a motor vehicle and were carrying approximately Rs1 million in cash at the time. They said the family had approached the Peshawar High Court seeking legal relief and justice in the matter.

Allegations Against DSP Rustam Ashiq Hussain

The family members further alleged that differences had emerged between them and DSP Rustam Ashiq Hussain and claimed that, as a result, they were being implicated in various criminal cases which they described as false and baseless. They also alleged that members of their family had been subjected to harassment and pressure, and claimed that police had refused to register their complaint regarding the disappearance of the two men.
