KARACHI: A 61-year-old widow was brutally beaten to death inside her one-room residence in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, with law enforcement officials suspecting robbery as the primary motive behind the attack. The victim has been identified as Amina, widow of the late Abdul Ghafoor, who resided in Block 13-G, Madina Colony Katchi Abadi.
Details of the Incident
According to SHO Gulshan-e-Iqbal Saud, Amina lived alone on the first floor of a modest 30-square-yard house alongside her disabled son. On the day of the incident, unidentified assailants forcibly entered her home and struck her on the head with a brick, causing fatal injuries. The attackers also forcefully removed her gold earrings, tearing them from her ears.
Discovery of the Body
The victim's body was discovered in a pool of blood when her son returned from work. Police have launched an investigation and are examining evidence from the scene to identify the perpetrators. The case has been registered, and efforts are underway to track down the suspects.
