At least four tourists lost their lives and 10 others sustained injuries after a passenger van caught fire near Khajot on the Murree Expressway on Wednesday. The incident prompted an immediate response from authorities, including police officials, personnel, and members of the Murree administration, who rushed to the scene upon receiving reports of the blaze.
Rescue Operations and Medical Assistance
Rescue 1122 teams were dispatched promptly and commenced relief and rescue operations at the site. Officials confirmed that efforts are underway to identify the deceased and injured passengers, as well as to gather further details about the victims. The injured received initial medical treatment at the scene before being transferred to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for advanced care.
