Karachi police have arrested a woman suspected of being involved in a series of thefts across the city. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East, Irfan Bahadur, the woman had been under surveillance for several weeks. She is believed to be part of a larger network operating in Karachi. The police acted on intelligence received from an informant. The suspect was arrested without incident, and a case has been registered against her.
Recovered Items
The stolen items include gold ornaments, expensive watches, and electronic devices. Police have also seized a motorcycle allegedly used in the crimes. The total value of the recovered items is estimated at PKR 5.2 million. The police are now working to identify the owners of the stolen goods.
Modus Operandi
Investigations reveal that the suspect would target homes in affluent neighborhoods, often posing as a domestic worker. She would case the houses and return later to commit the thefts. In some cases, she worked with accomplices. The police are searching for other members of the gang.
