SBBA Unveils Post-Ashura Basketball Development Plans

The Sindh Basketball Association (SBBA) has unveiled a comprehensive series of development initiatives scheduled to take place after Ashura-e-Muharram. These activities include summer coaching camps, a referees’ refresher course, and an U-21 Inter-Academy Tournament. The decisions were finalized during an SBBA meeting chaired by President Ghulam Abbas Jamal Ch.

Summer Coaching Camps and Referees Course

Following the meeting, SBBA Secretary Aamir Sharif announced that summer coaching camps for both boys and girls, along with a referees’ refresher course, will be organized in Larkana and Sukkur. Meanwhile, Karachi is set to host the U-21 Inter-Academy Boys and Girls Tournament. The ongoing summer coaching camps in Karachi will continue as per the existing schedule.

Recognition and Support

The association extended its congratulations to Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar, along with officials of the SSB and SOA, for the successful organization of the National Games. Additionally, the SBBA praised SSWMB MD Tariq Ali Nizamani for his unwavering support of sports and urged the Sindh government to acknowledge his contributions with a performance award. The association also expressed gratitude to Berger Paints Pakistan for its continued sponsorship and support of sports activities.

Upcoming Events and Celebrations

The meeting also included prayers for the speedy recovery of SOA Secretary Ahmed Ali Rajput. Plans were made to celebrate the first anniversary of the current SBBA administration on July 18. Furthermore, the association announced the organization of exhibition matches involving boys’ and girls’ teams against SJAS members, scheduled for August.
