A woman sustained critical injuries after she jumped from a moving train along with her four-year-old son at Samma Satta railway station platform, approximately 10 kilometers from Bahawalpur, on Sunday.
Incident Details
According to Rescue-1122, the Tezgam Express was traveling from Karachi to Rawalpindi and was not scheduled to stop at Samma Satta Junction. As the train slowed down, a woman leaped off the train with her child onto the platform. While the child remained completely unharmed, the woman suffered severe injuries.
Rescue personnel provided first aid at the scene and later shifted the injured woman to Bahawal Victoria Hospital for further medical treatment. The injured woman has been identified as 22-year-old Natasha, a resident of Muza Uteera, Kachi Wah, Samma Satta.
Road Accident Leaves Two Injured
In a separate incident, two people were injured in a road accident near Bahawalpur on Sunday. According to Rescue-1122, the accident occurred on the M-5 motorway near Jhangra Interchange when a rashly driven truck collided with a trailer from behind. As a result, two individuals traveling in the truck sustained multiple injuries.
The injured were extricated from the wreckage of the truck and later shifted to a hospital for medical treatment. They have been identified as 45-year-old Nawaz and 40-year-old Nawab, both residents of Khushab district.
In other news, the CCD Faisalabad officer has been transferred, and SP Malik Tariq has been posted to Lahore.
