Renowned Pakistani Tekken player Arslan 'Ash' Siddique secured his eighth Evolution Championship Series (EVO) title on Monday by winning the Tekken 8 tournament in Las Vegas, as confirmed by the organizers. Siddique defeated South Korean competitor Rangchu in the final, marking his fourth consecutive victory at the Las Vegas event.
Fourth Straight EVO Las Vegas Win
According to EVO's official statement on X, 'Arslan Ash wins TEKKEN 8 at #Evo2026, claiming his 4th Evo Las Vegas Championship in a row and bringing his total up to 8.' This achievement extends Siddique's dominance in the competitive Tekken scene.
Siddique, who previously claimed the EVO France championship in October 2025, hails from Lahore, Pakistan. He began playing Tekken at age eight in local gaming arcades and gained recognition in domestic gaming circles during his teenage years.
Pakistan's Rising Profile in Esports
Pakistan has made significant strides in competitive gaming, particularly in Tekken. In March 2025, a Pakistani team achieved a historic victory in Seoul during a special Tekken 8 event, ending South Korea's long-standing dominance in the discipline. South Korea had been the leading force in Tekken esports until Siddique's rise to prominence through major international tournament wins.
In July 2023, Siddique was part of the Pakistani trio that won the Nations Cup in Riyadh, the first country-based Tekken tournament, where Pakistan remained undefeated. In August 2023, he became the first professional gamer to win the Tekken 7 title four times, also triumphing at the Uprising Korea 2023 tournament in Seoul.
Legacy of Championships
Over the years, Siddique has accumulated multiple EVO titles, including EVO Las Vegas (2019, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026) and EVO Japan (2019, 2023). His consistent performance has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest players in Tekken history.
