Sindh Police Games Revival Praised After 14 Years

A high-level delegation headed by former Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency, Saud Ahmed, recently met with DIGP Traffic and Chairman of the Sindh Police Sports Board, Syed Pir Muhammad Shah, to commend him for the exceptionally well-organized Sindh Police Games.

Distinguished Delegation Offers Congratulations

The visiting group included several prominent figures: Additional IGP Sindh Sharjeel Kharal, Director Sports for the Karachi Commissioner Ghulam Muhammad Khan, former SSP Syed Ejazuddin, and Chairman of the CLYCF Zohaib Jhangra. The purpose of their visit was specifically to acknowledge and appreciate the outstanding efforts in reviving the sporting event.

Praise for a Landmark Achievement

Saud Ahmed, who holds the distinction of having organized the last Police Games a remarkable 14 years ago, expressed his profound admiration for Pir Muhammad Shah's work. He described the successful revival of the games as "an exceptional achievement" and voiced his optimism that this would mark the permanent return of sports promotion within the police department.

Honors and Future Celebrations

During the meeting, Ghulam Muhammad Khan made a significant announcement. He revealed that the Sindh and Karachi Basketball Associations will host a special reception later this week to honor Pir Muhammad Shah. At this event, the DIGP will be awarded the prestigious Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Gold Medal for Excellence.

Furthermore, SP Saeed Ahmed Arain, who served as the Organising Secretary for the Sindh Police Games, will be honored with the Silver Medal for his crucial role in the event's success.

A dedicated committee has already been formed to oversee the arrangements for the upcoming reception. The committee will operate under the supervision of SBBA patron Khalid Jameel Shamsi, with KBBA President Advocate Ghulam Abbas Jamal taking on the responsibilities of secretary.
