Rawalpindi - Rawat police have decided to transfer the investigation of the gang, including Chinese nationals, arrested for recording immoral videos to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). A senior police officer privy to the investigations of the case filed by Rawat police on Thursday said that the court of a magistrate ruled that the case pertains to cyber crime as the gang of seven women and four men were not only recording the obscene video but also live streaming the immoral material. The police officer said that the NCCIA, being a federal investigation agency, had the scope to investigate the case at national and international level, tracing out the involvement of other online platforms that disseminate and broadcast the immoral videos.
Rawat police had obtained one day physical remand of the gang of 11 persons and will hand over the case to NCCIA Rawalpindi for further investigations. It was on Wednesday late night raid that Rawat police busted the gang involved in making obscene films and live streaming at a house in Bahria Town Phase-7. The police team, on a tip off, raided the house to arrest a proclaimed offender in a murder case and instead caught the gang. PO Raza son of Ateeq, resident of Sagri Tehsil, fled from the scene when the police arrived. The raiding team, however, found seven young women and four men in a compromised position. According to the FIR, the arrested persons were also filming porn videos.
The arrested included Chinese national Li Guoliang, son of Feng Xiang and resident of Shangxi in China. He is said to be the leader of the gang. The other three arrested men were identified as Li Shaoheng, son of Li Heng and resident of Xulou Village Yandianlou Town COA, 137 County Shandon China, Badreen Ahmed, son of Ahmed Hussain and resident of Kotli in Azad Kashmir, and Saad Ali, son of Khadim Hussain and resident of B-17 Islamabad. The arrested women were identified as Naseem Arif, daughter of Muhammad Arif and resident of Pindi Bhattian, Iqra Nadeem, daughter of Muhammad Nadeem and resident of Mandi Bahauddin, Sania Bibi, daughter of Muhammad Zarait and resident of Muzaffarabad, Zuha Qasim, daughter of Muhammad Qasim and resident of Pindorian on Kuri Road Islamabad, Tayyaba Ramzan, daughter of Muhammad Ramzan and resident Sudhanoti in Azad Kashmir, Razia Mushtaq, daughter of Mushtaq and resident of Chichawatni, and Nigerian national Olamide Bela, daughter of Praise Morenikeji.
In the preliminary investigation, the police learnt that Li Guoliang used to make porn videos and then upload them on multiple websites for hefty amounts. The female accused, in their statements to police, said that they were lured into the activity as they were promised jobs. The police registered the case under Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) sections 292 (crime of sale, distribution, or public exhibition of obscene books, pamphlets, drawings, or objects), 294 (obscene acts and songs), 509 (insulting modesty or causing sexual harassment), and 216 (harboring or concealing an individual who has escaped from lawful custody) and sections 20 and 21 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 and the Punjab Arms Amendment Ordinance 2015.
