ACE Multan Arrests Excise Employee for Bribery

MULTAN - The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan on Thursday arrested an employee of the Excise and Taxation Department for accepting a bribe from a citizen.

Operation Details

According to an ACE spokesman, the raid was conducted under the supervision of Regional Director Anti-Corruption Multan Basharat Nabi. Assistant Director Investigation Zaheer Ahmed and his team apprehended Excise Department employee Atta-ur-Rehman while he was receiving Rs20,000 from a citizen in exchange for facilitating the waiver of tax.

Recovery and Legal Action

During the operation, the anti-corruption team recovered the marked currency notes from the accused. Further legal proceedings have been initiated against him.
