Punjab Launches One-Stop Agriculture Malls for Farmers

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced on Saturday that the province has entered a new era of convenience for farmers with the introduction of "one-stop agriculture input markets." These facilities aim to provide all essential agricultural services under one roof, located near farming communities.

Model Agriculture Malls Operational

According to an official statement, four Model Agriculture Malls have already been established and are operational in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and Sargodha. These malls offer a comprehensive range of services, including agricultural inputs, expert consultations, and access to modern machinery for rent. The initiative is being executed in collaboration with the private sector to ensure efficiency and sustainability.

Expansion Plans

The chief minister has directed authorities to take immediate steps for setting up similar facilities in 10 more districts. These include Faisalabad, Jhang, Okara, Khanewal, Rajanpur, Vehari, Rahim Yar Khan, Attock, and Mianwali. Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the malls would eventually be established in all districts of Punjab to enhance access to modern agricultural services and strengthen support for the farming community.
