Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday commended the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) for delivering free healthcare services in remote regions, highlighting the organization's consistent dedication to assisting those in need. During a visit to a complimentary medical camp organized by the PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Branch at Lassan Thakral in Mansehra, the Governor lauded the PRCS medical team for examining hundreds of male and female patients and supplying them with free medications.

The Governor noted that establishing free medical camps in isolated areas like Lassan Thakral provides significant relief to local communities, and he pledged to expand such initiatives to other remote parts of the province. Governor Kundi announced that two key agreements would soon be finalized to support patients suffering from thalassaemia and those requiring dialysis treatment. He emphasized that the objective is to ensure healthcare access and foster self-reliance among underprivileged communities.
Governor Kundi also recognized the PRCS's outstanding efforts during flood emergencies, stating that the organization not only distributed relief supplies but also provided financial aid to families affected by floods.
Addressing Provincial Issues
Speaking to the media, the Governor said that issues related to CNG and wheat supply had not been resolved through correspondence by the provincial government. He welcomed the Chief Minister's proposal for joint efforts to resolve provincial challenges, stressing that effective cooperation between federal and provincial governments is crucial for tackling the difficulties facing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He thanked the Prime Minister for resolving the CNG issue and noted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the country's second-largest producer of oil and gas, after Balochistan.
Under the Constitution, he asserted, provinces that produce natural resources have the primary right to those resources. The Governor termed restrictions on wheat transportation as contrary to constitutional and legal provisions and said he had already brought complaints about obstacles in wheat movement and illegal collections to the Prime Minister's attention. He reiterated his commitment to advocating at every forum for the protection of the province's constitutional rights and the resolution of public issues.
