The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has commenced preparations for Hajj 2027, with the registration process for intending pilgrims expected to begin shortly, following guidelines issued by Saudi authorities. According to ministry officials, registration arrangements are being finalized, and prospective pilgrims must possess a valid Pakistani passport with an expiry date extending beyond November 16, 2027, to be eligible for registration.
Registration Process and Schemes
The ministry stated that individuals who complete the registration process will be able to choose between the government-sponsored Hajj scheme and private Hajj operators once the formal application process begins. Officials also confirmed that overseas Pakistanis will be eligible to register for Hajj 2027 under the upcoming policy framework. The ministry clarified that no registration fee has been determined at this stage. Details regarding Hajj packages, estimated expenses, quotas, and other eligibility criteria will be announced later as part of the Hajj Policy 2027.
Early Preparations for Smooth Pilgrimage
Authorities said the early preparations are aimed at ensuring a smooth and organized process for pilgrims and aligning Pakistan's Hajj arrangements with requirements set by Saudi Arabia for the upcoming pilgrimage season. The Ministry of Religious Affairs is coordinating with relevant departments to streamline the process and ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place well in advance.
