The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi will host a mini-symposium titled “Life and Chemical Sciences: Catalyzing Innovation and Transformative Discovery” on Monday, June 22, at 9am. According to an ICCBS spokesperson, the event is being jointly organized by the ICCBS, University of Karachi, the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS), and Aga Khan University (AKU), Karachi. The symposium will be held at the Prof. Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Auditorium of ICCBS.
Symposium Objectives
Prof Dr Muhammad Raza Shah, Director of ICCBS, stated that the symposium aims to bring together students and young researchers from public and private universities across Sindh who are engaged in life and chemical sciences research. By promoting dialogue, networking, and collaboration, the event seeks to foster a spirit of partnership that advances scientific inquiry and innovation for the benefit of humanity.
Key Speakers and Participants
Prof Dr Atta-ur-Rahman, Professor Emeritus and former Federal Minister for Science and Technology, will deliver the opening remarks. Prof Dr Muhammad Raza Shah will give a special presentation on the occasion. Representatives from the PAS Sindh Chapter and Aga Khan University (AKU), including Prof Dr Muhammad Wasy, will also attend the event. The symposium will be attended by research scholars, students, scientists, professionals, and faculty members from public and private universities across Sindh.
