The Horticulture Agency Multan has decided to undertake the rehabilitation of Bahawalpur Bypass as part of ongoing efforts to improve the city’s green infrastructure and beautification, announced Managing Director Syed Wasim Hassan.
MD Inspects Plantation and Landscaping Work
Syed Wasim Hassan visited various intersections, parks, and green belts across Multan to review plantation drives, landscaping, and beautification work. He issued directions for expediting development and maintenance activities.
During his visit, he said a grand operation was underway on greenbelts, including the Metro greenbelt, while emergency measures were being taken to ensure an uninterrupted water supply for plants amid the summer season.
Public-Private Partnership Beautification Projects
Hassan stated that beautification projects were continuing under a public-private partnership model across the city. Work on decorative lighting at High Court Wall and Nishtar Chowk had been completed, while paintwork on the parapet wall of Kutchery Flyover was in progress.
The agency was also carrying out landscaping and beautification of the greenbelt from Daulat Gate to Chowk No. 14. Construction work on Bahawalpur Bypass and upgradation of Chowk No. 14 were continuing, he added.
Commitment to Urban Environment Enhancement
Syed Wasim Hassan reiterated the agency’s commitment to enhancing Multan’s urban environment through sustained plantation and beautification initiatives. The rehabilitation of Bahawalpur Bypass is a key component of these efforts, aimed at creating a greener and more aesthetically pleasing cityscape.
