In a decisive move under the zero-tolerance policy directed by SSP Sameer Noor Channa, police in Shaheed Benazirabad have intensified their crackdown against criminal elements. During a routine patrol, the Qazi Ahmed police team apprehended a high-profile proclaimed offender identified as Shoaib alias Ashraf alias Don, son of Wazir Khoso. The arrest was carried out by SHO Qazi Ahmed along with his team, including ASI Ayaz Ali Panhwar.
Recovery of Contraband and Legal Action
During the arrest, police recovered 10 packets of gutka from the possession of the accused. A case has been registered against the suspect at Qazi Ahmed Police Station under FIR No. 249/2026, citing sections 4/8 of the Sindh Gutka and Mainpuri Act. The swift action underscores the police department's commitment to curbing the sale and use of harmful substances in the region.
Habitual Offender with Serious Criminal Record
According to police records, Shoaib is a habitual offender with a history of serious crimes. He is already involved in eight previous cases registered at Qazi Ahmed Police Station, including charges related to robbery, attempted murder, narcotics, kidnapping, and other offenses. This arrest marks a significant step in dismantling the network of repeat offenders in the district.
