Rice exports, a key component of the food group, fell sharply. From July to May FY2025-26, Pakistan exported 3.929 million metric tons of rice worth $2.077 billion, compared to 5.544 million tons valued at $3.203 billion in the corresponding period last year. This represents a decrease of approximately 35 percent in quantity and 35.2 percent in value.

Meat and Meat Preparations Also Rise

The PBS data highlights a mixed performance in Pakistan's food exports, with significant losses in rice offset by modest gains in fish and meat sectors.
